Solutions Pre-sales Consultant (Sunway Business Systems)

A high-potential, proactive, and self-driven Pre-Sales Consultant to support and lead pre-sales engagements across our software solution & services portfolio. This role requires strong business understanding, the ability to translate technical solutions into business value, and the confidence to engage customers professionally. Someone who is passionate to help customers transform their businesses through software technology and business process automation.

The ideal candidate has winning mindset, supportive to close deals, able to work independently, and capable of managing pre-sales tasks with minimal supervision — from requirements discovery, solution design, pricing analysis, proposal development, to product demonstrations. They must also have good IT technical knowledge and comfortable to hands-on learning and configuration of the software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Support sales in customer meetings, presentations, and workshops.

Help sales develop the business case and articulate the value proposition tailored to customer needs.

Identify customer pain points and propose suitable solution approaches.

Maintain strong professional relationships with prospects, customers, and partners.

Provide technical expertise to address objections and build confidence in the solutions.

2. Business & Solution Understanding:

Understand customer industry, operational processes, and workflow challenges.

Capture, analyze, and document customer business process flows and requirements (functional and technical).

Translate business needs into solution scope, use cases, and value statements.

Clearly articulate proposed solutions in a way that business users can easily understand.

3. Solution Design & Technical Interpretation:

Develop solution architecture diagrams, integration points and high-level technical design.

Understand the technical integration of systems, APIs, and common enterprise/cloud infrastructure concepts.

Map customer challenges to solution capabilities and high-level solution flows.

Develop and deliver engaging solution demonstrations customized to customer scenarios.

Assess the feasibility of solution in meeting customer technical requirements.

4. Solution Proposal & Pricing Strategy:

Collaborate on pricing strategies and assist in creating proposals.

Independently prepare professional proposals, presentations and solution briefs.

Develop costing simulations, pricing breakdowns and preparation of quotations.

Contribute to RFP/RFI/Tender responses with high-quality technical and business inputs.

Conduct needs discovery sessions and requirements workshops with customers.

Collaborate closely with the technical and delivery teams to validate solution feasibility.

Act as a bridge between sales, technical teams, and solution partners

Support POCs, solution walkthroughs, and customer evaluation activities.

Maintain and update presales templates for proposal, deliverables and knowledge assets.

Share market and client insights with internal teams to guide product development.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education:

Degree in Information Technology, Business, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.

Experience:

3+ years of experience in technical presales, business analysis, software implementation, solution consulting, or related roles.

Experience with BPM/workflow, automation software, CRM, business analytics, Financial Accounting systems, ERP, or cloud platforms.

Proven track record of supporting successful solution sales & implementation cycles.

Key Skills & Attributes:

Strong business acumen with the ability to understand enterprise processes (procurement, finance, operations, supply chain, manufacturing, etc.)

Ability to interpret complex technical concepts and explain them in simple, business-friendly language.

Ability to self-learn new software systems, tools, and solution platforms independently and curious about technology.

Technical hands‑on capability to configure or set up demo environments and develop customized demonstrations.

Excellent skills in business proposal writing, solution documentation, and presentation delivery.

Able to independently handle presales cases with minimal supervision, from requirement gathering to proposal submission.

Ability to work under tight timelines and deliver high quality proposals.

Proactive, innovative, resourceful, and willing to explore alternative solutions.

Ability to make reasonable assumptions and craft solution proposals even when operating under constraints or with limited information.

Strong problem solving, analytical thinking, and attention to proposal detail.

Team player with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Willing to perform any ad‑hoc tasks or assignments as instructed by superior to support business or operational needs.
