Job summary

A leading consulting firm is seeking a Solutions Architect in Kuala Lumpur to design cloud infrastructure solutions and act as a Subject Matter Expert in cloud architecture. The ideal candidate will have 6-8 years of infrastructure design experience and at least 3 years in Cloud Architecture, preferably with Microsoft Azure. Responsibilities include developing technical designs, mentoring team members, and ensuring project quality. This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, along with an Azure certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6-8 years of hands-on infrastructure design and implementation experience.
• 3+ years of experience in Cloud Architecture and/or Operations, preferably with Microsoft Azure.
• Knowledge of automated DevOps release management pipeline is a plus.

Solutions Architect (Consulting & Managed Services)

• Responsible for architect cloud infrastructure solutions.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert in cloud end-to-end architecture including networking, monitoring, governance, BCDR, and management.
• Work closely with Microsoft Cloud Solution Architect (CSA) in architecting solution.
• Provide technical design and implementation on Microsoft Azure clouds and on-premise solution.
• Develop technical presentations for prospective customers' decision makers
• Develop maintenance and optimization processes for clients environments.
• Build trusted clients relationship and gain recognition for technical and advisory capabilities.
• Ensure quality assurance and timely delivery of project work products.
• Mentor team members in technical concepts and cooperating to meet project deadlines and deliverables.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 6-8 years of hands-on infrastructure design and implementation experience.
• 3 years or more of experience in Cloud Architecture and/or Operations, preferably with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365.
• Familiarity with multi-cloud environment is advantageous.
• Experienced in architecting infrastructure solutions on Azure for Linux/Unix and Windows, with expertise in server, load balancing, HA/DR, and storage architectures and Azure services such as Kubernetes, Dockers, Functions, Azure SQL/MI.
• Knowledge of automated DevOps release management pipeline is a plus.
• Azure certification is required.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and changing priorities.
• Willingness to travel for short-term and long-term project assignments, understanding the consulting lifestyle.
