Embedded Software Engineer

Role Overview: As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will be at the heart of our innovation. You will focus on developing and optimizing the software systems that control our products. Your work will directly impact the usability and functionality of our products.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Designing and developing firmware for a range of Yamaha audio products.
• Collaborating with a dynamic team of embedded software engineers to translate product requirements into reality.
• Participating in the entire product development lifecycle—from creating and reviewing specifications to designing, implementing, testing, and debugging.
• Documenting design specifications and creating test checklists.
• Providing creative solutions to challenges encountered during product development.
• Ensuring all firmware meets stringent Yamaha quality and performance standards.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• A degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic, Software Engineering or related field.
• Strong knowledge of microcontroller functions and peripheral circuits.
• Proficiency in embedded C programming or object‑oriented programming, with strong analytical skills.
• Experience with debugging and implementing microcontroller functions.
• Familiarity with test and debugging equipment like Audio Precision, HDMI/CEC Analyzer, and Protocol Analyzer.
• A basic understanding of audio technologies, HDMI, Linux, GUI, Bluetooth, CEC, and network protocols is a plus.
• Previous experience in a related field is advantageous.
