Qualifications

• Working experience with RoHS and no clean processes.
• Working knowledge of IPC-610 and J-STD001 workmanship criteria.

• Evaluate, implement, and monitor processes and operating systems for the SMT department.
• Support SMT equipment: AOI, SPI, Xray, Wave solder machine.
• Create soldering profiles for SMT reflow and wave solder equipment.

Job description

Our client is a multinational company (MNC) headquartered in Taiwan in the electrical and electronics industry with global operations. Currently, they are looking for a SMT Engineer to be based in Senawang, Negeri Sembilan.

• Monday to Friday
• Allowance will be provided
• Free meal provided
• 13th month salary

• Engineer will primarily be responsible for evaluating, implementing and monitoring processes and operating systems for the SMT department.
• Will be expected to support SMT equipment, AOI, SPI, Xray, Wave solder machine and rework equipment.
• Program Xray inspection machine
• Debug, and maintain SMT pick and place equipment
• Create soldering profiles for SMT reflow ovens and wave solder and rework equipment.
• Finetune the SPI (solder paste inspection) machines inspection criteria
• Optimizes productivity by designing, implementing and rollout new procedures
• Evaluate, implement, and monitor SMT processes and operating systems
• Monitors and improves efficiency, output, and safety of manufacturing processes
• Tracks metrics to discover areas for improvement and monitor upgrades
• Communicate with supervisors and peers to resolve issues
• Participate in company or special training classes with emphasis on employee improvement
• Assesses compliance with applicable safety and quality standards
• Contributes to departmental efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years working experience in electronic manufacturing environment
• Must be able to do analysis on all SMT equipment and process related issue
• Ability to work well independently and within a team
• Ability to read engineering documentation, strong written and verbal communication skills
• Working experience with RoHS and no clean processes
• Working knowledge of IPC-610 and J-STD001 workmanship criteria
