The Site Supervisor (Roadworks) is responsible for conducting regular site visits to monitor and inspect roadwork activities, ensuring that work is carried out in accordance with project specifications, drawings, and safety standards. This role also involves reporting project progress, preparing site reports, and coordinating with consultants, clients, and relevant authorities for progress claims and project completion matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor and evaluate the progress and quality of roadwork and related civil works.
- Ensure that all works are executed in compliance with approved plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
- Record daily site activities, including manpower, machinery, materials, and work progress.
- Prepare and submit progress reports, site photos, and other documentation to the Project Engineer / Project Manager.
- Liaise with subcontractors, consultants, and clients to resolve on-site issues and technical discrepancies.
- Verify quantities of completed work for progress claims and assist in the preparation of claim documents.
- Monitor project milestones and assist in preparing completion reports and documentation for handover.
- Ensure proper site housekeeping, safety compliance, and adherence to environmental requirements.
- Support project planning and scheduling activities as required.
- Assist in administrative and tender-related works such as data compilation, documentation, and progress tracking.
- Perform other ad‑hoc and administrative tasks when site work is not required.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent technical qualification.
- Open to fresh graduates; candidates with experience in roadworks, infrastructure, or construction projects will have an advantage.
- Knowledge of road construction methods, materials, and relevant standards is an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
- Good communication, coordination, and problem‑solving skills.
- Possess own transport and willing to travel to various project sites.
