Job description

We are seeking a proactive and meticulous Site Supervisor/Inspector to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be the eyes and ears on the ground, ensuring all site activities adhere strictly to safety, quality, and schedule requirements. You will play a crucial role in communication, coordination, and problem-solving to maintain stable and efficient construction progress.

Responsibilities
  • Site Monitoring & Compliance:
    • Proactively check and monitor all site activities to ensure strict adherence to the Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS).
    • Verify that work is progressing according to the planned schedule and meeting quality standards.
  • Communication & Reporting:
    • Report the actual site condition, progress status, and any deviations immediately to the Assistant Project Manager (APM) and Engineer.
    • Maintain clear and timely communication to ensure all key stakeholders are informed.
  • Problem-Solving & Risk Mitigation:
    • Identify and report any problems, discrepancies, or unplanned work that occurs during site activities.
    • Consult and collaborate closely with the APM and Engineer to swiftly address issues and implement corrective actions.
    • Work together with the team to overcome obstacles and ensure the construction schedule remains stable.
  • Ad Hoc Duties
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a similar role (GC Supervisor, Site Supervisor, Site Inspector, or related field) in the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, safety standards (SWMS), and project scheduling.
  • Excellent observation and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
