Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a qualified individual to oversee site activities in QA/QC roles. The position involves planning daily work, supervising installation, ensuring safety and quality standards, and coordinating with various project stakeholders. Ideal candidates will possess a diploma or degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, along with 3-5 years of relevant experience, particularly in Data Centre or industrial projects. This role requires independent work and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience in QA/QC, preferably in Data Centre / Industrial projects.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 & ISO 45001 standards, CIDB, and construction quality/safety practices.
• Able to work independently on site with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Plan daily work activities with Project Engineer.

• Technical pass-down to workers for new work.
• Supervise all site installation work.

Job description

1. Plan daily work activities with Project Engineer, make sure workers work according to the plan and meet targeted schedule.
2. Responsible for work place safety, quality and 6S management. Perform risk assessment on site before start work and pass down risk finding to workers.
3. Technical pass-down to workers for new work to be performed.
4. Supervise all site installation work to make sure workers work according to standard operation procedure.
5. Helping engineers to coordinate with all related parties i.e: client’s sponsor engineers, client’s engineers from different department and internally when necessary.
6. Responsible for tools and equipment management on site.
7. Responsible for work place materials safe keeping and security prior to installation.
8. Participate in site survey with client and provide scope of work and bill of material to commercial department for quotation/ proposal preparation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Diploma / Degree in Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• 3–5 years’ experience in QA/QC, preferably in Data Centre / Industrial projects.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 & ISO 45001 standards, CIDB, and construction quality/safety practices.
