Job summary

A company in solar project management is seeking a Senior Project Manager for their Kampar, Perak location. The candidate will be responsible for assessing hazards, conducting inspections, and managing customer solar systems' safety and maintenance. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, and the candidate must be willing to travel within Peninsular Malaysia. This role requires independent work under minimal supervision and an emphasis on maintaining a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess hazards, determine risks, conduct inspections, and monitor site project progress.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain customer's solar system.
• Give training and manage all employees on the project.
• Inspect quality of work compliance to all standards.
• Monitor performance of sub-contractors and staff for quality assurance.
• Define project scope and required resources.
• Allocate resources, materials, and other staff.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
• Conduct testing and commissioning according to specifications.
• Assist project team in development and execution.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines and facilities.

Senior Project Manager – Solar System Safety and Maintenance

Responsibilities

• Assess hazards, determine risks, conduct regular inspections, monitor day-to-day site project progress and maintain a safety programmer.
• To troubleshoot, repair and maintain customers solar system.
• To give training and general management of all employees on the project.
• To do inspection on quality of works compliance to all standard and inspection procedure.
• To monitor performance of sub-contractors and staff, ensuring quality of work meet the requirement.
• To accomplish project by defining the scope and resources required.
• To allocate resources, materials, sub-contractors and other staff.
• To maintaining a safe, secure and healthy work environment by adhering to and enforcing safety codes.
• To conduct testing and commissioning according to project specifications.
• To assist project team in project development and execution.
• Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by Senior Project Manager.
• To perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.

Requirements

• Able to work independently under minimum supervision.
• Willing to travel outstation within Peninsular Malaysia.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
