Job description

VC Engineering Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of iCents Group Holdings Berhad, is a well-established engineering and construction company specializing in cleanroom and industrial facility projects. Our core business encompasses engineering, construction, and related services for cleanrooms and other specialized facilities. With expertise in mechanical, electrical, and process engineering, we serve clients across the semiconductor, data center, pharmaceutical, FMCG, and advanced manufacturing sectors.

We are looking for a dynamic Site Safety Supervisor to champion safety across our advanced industrial project sites. You will take the lead in ensuring all safety protocols are followed, promoting a strong culture of safety, and proactively identifying and mitigating risks. Your role will be key in keeping our teams safe while supporting smooth, on-time project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and enforce site safety requirements in accordance with OSHA, DOSH, and project safety standards.
• Conduct daily site inspections, identify safety hazards, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Lead toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and inductions for workers and subcontractors.
• Prepare and maintain safety documentation, including risk assessments, JSA, incident reports, and safety checklists.
• Investigate accidents, near misses, and non-compliance issues, and recommend preventive measures.
• Ensure workers comply with PPE requirements and safe work procedures.
• Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, and subcontractors on safety-related matters.
• Assist in developing and updating the Site Safety Plan and Emergency Response Plan.
• Promote a positive safety culture across the project team.
• Perform other duties as required by the supervisor.

Requirements:

• Possess a valid Yellow Book / Site Safety Supervisor certificate (or equivalent recognized qualification).
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in construction site safety supervision, preferably in industrial, warehouse, or FMCG projects.
• Proven track record in implementing and enforcing safety protocols, risk assessments, and compliance with local regulations.
• Experience conducting safety inspections, incident investigations, and training for site personnel.
• Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety standards, as well as construction site practices.
• Ability to coordinate with project teams and management to maintain a safe working environment.
• Physically fit and able to work at construction sites.
