Job summary

A construction firm based in Kota Tinggi, Johor, is seeking a Safety Officer to conduct site inspections, develop safety policies, and provide training to employees. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety and at least 2 years of experience in a related field. Strong knowledge of safety regulations and excellent communication skills are essential.   • Provide safety training and orientation for new employees and subcontractors.
  • Conduct safety meetings and toolbox talks to promote awareness and best practices.
  • Investigate accidents and near misses, and provide recommendations for prevention.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training sessions, and incidents.
  • Coordinate with project managers and supervisors to address safety concerns and implement corrective actions.
  • Stay informed about changes in safety regulations and industry best practices.
  • Serve as a resource for employees and subcontractors regarding safety-related issues and concerns.
  • Promote a positive safety culture by leading by example and encouraging employee participation in safety initiatives.
Qualifications

Location Requirement

This position is based in Kota Tinggi, Johor. Candidate must be willing and able to work in above mentioned location.
