Job summary

A construction firm in Malaysia is seeking an experienced site manager to oversee supervisors and manage resources on-site. This role involves coordinating between project managers and subcontractors, ensuring all site works align with specifications, and monitoring material deliveries. Ideal candidates should possess over 3 years of experience in civil and structural works, especially in high-rise projects, with strong communication skills in both Bahasa Malaysia and English. Immediate availability is an added advantage.

Qualifications

Job description

Responsibilities

• Manage Supervisors and Resources On Site: Ensure they report daily progress and update online. Ensure Subcons, labor and materials sufficiency (10 days look ahead). Ensure daily site management of consumables & materials are sufficient (diesel, timbers, rebars, concrete – reservoir tank, pipes, fittings, sand, crusher for pipeworks). Ensure MR (material requisitions for materials) are done 10 days ahead.
• Liaise with project manager/supervisor for work coordination and execution. Ensure weekly coordination progress meetings with sub-con are carried out.
• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance to the drawings, specifications, construction plan, procedures, work instructions.
• Assist project manager on daily site monitoring & pushing subcon progress ahead of schedule.
• Coordinate & manage supervisor/assistants to ensure daily RFI & pipe logs are prepared and submitted to COW & contracts for verification.
• Verification Subcon claims and preparations on kong cards to be verified daily by Contracts department online.
• Verification of material delivery on site in accordance with quantity and specification.

Qualifications

• Experienced in water works projects. Eg Pipeworks, Reservoir etc concerning CIVIL AND STRUCTURAL WORK.
• Candidates with experience for civil and structural works pertaining to highrise/ complexes are encouraged to apply.
• At least 3 Years above of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Strong communication skills and execution abilities.
• Must have knowledge in Microsoft Project and AutoCAD software.
• Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English.
• Possess own transport.
• Able to start immediately will be an added advantage.
