What You Will Be Doing
Operational Coordination
- Handle shipment bookings and coordinate with carriers, agents, and shippers to ensure timely cargo movement.
- Manage DG (Dangerous Goods) declarations, ensuring all documentation and safety requirements are met.
- Ensure accurate and timely billing in accordance with quotations and shipment details.
- Liaise with shippers, carriers, and overseas counterparts to prepare and verify Bills of Lading (BL), Debit Notes (DN), and Invoices (INV).
- Provide final BLs and permits to shippers, ensuring full compliance with applicable regulations.
- Manage pre-alerts and shipping documentation, ensuring all paperwork is properly prepared and submitted.
Documentation & Tracking
- Prepare and execute Bills of Lading (BL) accurately and in compliance with shipping standards.
- Maintain detailed and organised records of all shipping documents and transactions in the system.
- Respond promptly to customer, shipper, and overseas agent inquiries regarding shipment status via email.
Problem‑Solving & Support
- Address and resolve documentation or booking‑related issues quickly to ensure smooth shipment flow.
- Provide backup support for team members during leave or medical absence.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management to support overall operational needs.
What We Are Looking For
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong attention to detail, with excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to multi‑task and work under tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- 1‑2 years of experience in shipping documentation or freight forwarding is preferred but not mandatory.
- Immediate availability is advantageous.
