Get to Know the Team

The Grab Support (GS) team plays an important role in delivering exceptional customer support and solutions to our in-country business units across multiple verticals. From unraveling complex use cases to creating delightful customer experiences, our mission is to exceed expectations and transform less-than-ideal moments into memorable ones. Within GS, the Operational Excellence team drives performance by upholding the highest operational standards and ensuring the achievement of all key objectives and results (OKRs).

Get to Know the Role

Reporting to the Head of Operational Excellence, you will lead a team responsible for shaping and implementing vendor strategies—including vendor management, contract negotiation, cost optimization, process improvements, and performance monitoring.

This role is based onsite in our Petaling Jaya office.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• You will identify, evaluate, and onboard high-performing vendors that align with business needs and compliance requirements.
• You will lead contract development, pricing negotiations, and renewals; ensure SLAs, KPIs, and legal terms are clearly defined and enforced.
• You will develop and track vendor KPIs; conduct quarterly business reviews; resolve performance issues and implement corrective actions.
• You will collaborate with internal stakeholders (procurement, legal, finance, operations, etc.) to align vendor capabilities with organizational goals.
• You will identify and execute opportunities for cost savings, value creation, and risk mitigation through improved vendor management.
• You will ensure vendors comply with regulatory standards, company policies, and risk management practices.
• You will improve vendor management processes, tools, and reporting mechanisms.
• You will stay informed on market trends, emerging suppliers, and changes in the regulatory or competitive landscape.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in vendor management, procurement, or supply chain, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
• Experience negotiating high-value contracts and managing vendor performance.
• Understanding of sourcing strategies, procurement best practices, and risk management.
• Proficiency with vendor management systems (VMS), ERP platforms, and Excel.
• Experience with global or offshore vendor relationship.
