Edra Power Holdings Sdn Bhd ("Edra") owns and operates 8 power plants across Malaysia, Egypt, Bangladesh and other regions, offering a dynamic work environment for electrical maintenance professionals.
Responsibilities
- Carry out maintenance activities including investigation of defects, analysis of defects and proceed with rectification as directed.
- Maintain a high safety‑conscious working environment and ensure compliance with all company and legislative environmental, health & safety requirements.
- Carry out housekeeping after completion of all work performed by the job holder or by short‑term contractors under supervision.
- Use enhanced knowledge, skill and experience to teach and improve the skills and abilities of the electrical technicians.
- Ensure the safe and efficient execution of all electrical maintenance activities.
- Plan and coordinate all electrical maintenance activities.
- Comply with all applicable SHEQ, legal requirements and stakeholders’ specifications by establishing policies, programmes and practices in order to conduct operations in a healthy, safe and environmentally sound manner with safety first, quality foremost and pursuing excellence.
- Perform other additional tasks relevant and necessary to accomplish the company overall objectives, which may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications and Competency
- Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering
- Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Power Engineering
- Certificate in Electrical Engineering (Power)
Minimum Mandatory Competency (License) required:
- Chargeman – Low Voltage System (A0)
Work Experience, Skills and Competencies
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical operation and maintenance.
- Experience in maintenance of Combined Cycle Power Plant.
- Experience in maintenance of other industries such as petrochemical plant, heavy industry, oil and gas will be considered.
- Experience in Maintenance Computerized System (SAP).
- Technical understanding of electrical preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Good communication and reading skills.
- Good verbal and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematic drawings.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
