Job summary

A leading semiconductor company in Malaysia is seeking a Financial Manager to ensure compliance with IFRS regulations and manage corporate tax responsibilities. Your Role

Key responsibilities in your new role

  • Prepare and deliver timely, accurate financial reports in accordance with IFRS and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to provide reliable financial data for business operations.
  • Provide financial analysis and explanations on variances and key movements
  • Partner with stakeholders to resolve accounting and reporting issues
  • Part of financial reporting team to manage year-end audit process, ensure compliance and timely completion through coordination with internal teams and external auditor
  • Lead and manage all aspects of the corporate tax compliance including sales and services tax, stamp duties, transfer pricing, ensuring accurate and timely filing of tax returns & tax estimates. Develop and maintain compliance framework to ensure all internal practices adhere to applicable tax laws and regulations.
  • Part of the team for inventories management and fixed assets process
  • Support Company Secretary on secretarial tasks and ensure compliance with the requirements of the Companies Commission of Malaysia.
  • Drive implementation or enhancement of accounting systems and tools, drive standardization, automation and efficiency improvements

Your Profile

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

  • Degree in Accountancy/Finance or Professional qualification (Chartered Institution of Tax Malaysia/ACCA/CIMA/MIA member)
  • Minimum 10 years of working experience preferably in Manufacturing Industry, have a strong background in corporate taxation in multinational corporations or professional services firms
  • Solid understanding of financial regulations, statutory compliance, MFRS, Malaysian Companies Act, Income Tax Act and internal controls
  • A good team player and able to work independently with minimal supervision
