Senior/Staff Hardware Digital Engineer (HDL)

NI Product R&D Team member responsible for designing next‑generation, high‑speed, mixed‑signal, high‑precision I/O test instruments for PXI modularized platforms. The role supports test applications across EV, ADAS, Aerospace, Semiconductor, and Electronics, and spans the full product development cycle from research to post‑release support.

Responsibilities
  • Develop hardware features based on product management requirements.
  • Design, implement, and verify FPGA and CPLD solutions.
  • Conduct technology research, bring‑up of new products, and deliver validation and verification for successful launch.
  • Debug and resolve system‑level issues.
  • Collaborate with board‑level designers on circuit design, schematic capture, layout review, simulation, and signal‑integrity analysis.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog design experience for Senior level; 2 years for Staff level.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Passionate about continuous learning in analog, digital, and related computer technologies.
  • HDL IP design with FPGA proficiency in VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog and experience in testbench development.
  • Test automation expertise with scripting or programming languages.
  • Board‑level design experience.
