A leading semiconductor company in Malacca City is seeking a Process Development Engineer. The ideal candidate holds a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering and has over 8 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing. Responsibilities include performing process development activities, liaising with suppliers, and ensuring documentation accuracy. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, alongside hands-on assembly knowledge.
Perform Process development activities (Process parameters scouting, optimisation, verification and Process Freeze) in Development projects to meet the project targets in terms of timeline, quality, cost competitiveness and manufacturability.
Responsible for technical handshake and knowledge transfer to Operation.
Generate and update relevant documents, eg Process Specification, PFMEA, DFMEA, OJTI, T32, PDR.
Provide inputs for updating related documents and ensure their correct contents, eg Process of Record, Assembly Design Rule, Process Roadmap, Failure catalogue, Control Plan, Maintenance checklist, etc for development projects.
Liaise with suppliers for continuous improvement and perform verification and qualification activities for new tooling, machines and materials in Development projects.
Keep abreast with emerging technology to lead the definition and direction of Process technology, material, machine and tooling.
Masters/Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or relevant course.
8 years working experience in semiconductor manufacturing industry.
Strong hands‑on knowledge and skills in assembly area.
Analytical and problem solving skills.
Material science and chemical engineering know‑how.
Statistical data analysis including design of experiment.
