Senior Staff Engineer Advanced Package Design Signal and Power Integrity
Your Role

Key responsibilities in your new role:

  • Design, simulate, and validate signal and power delivery networks for high-speed digital systems, including PCBs, packages, and interconnects
  • Analyze and optimize signal and power integrity performance using simulation tools, such as ANSYS, Cadence, or CST
  • Develop and maintain signal and power integrity design guidelines and best practices
  • Collaborate with product engineering teams to ensure that signal and power integrity requirements are met
  • Work with manufacturing teams to ensure that signal and power integrity designs are manufacturable and meet production yield and quality targets
  • Develop and maintain test plans and procedures for signal and power integrity testing
  • Troubleshoot signal and power integrity issues and implement design changes to resolve problems
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in signal and power integrity
  • Collaborate with suppliers to develop and qualify new materials and technologies
  • Perform lab measurement to quantify device Signal and Power Integrity performance
Your Profile

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in signal and power integrity engineering, preferably in the semiconductor or electronics industry, with a focus on:
    • Semiconductor or electronics Package/PCB electrical model extraction and IBIS model generation
    • Signal and power integrity engineering simulation and/or validation
  • Strong knowledge of signal and power integrity principles, including:
    • Transmission Line and Electromagnetic theory
    • Time and frequency domain signal analysis
  • High-speed interface protocols such as LPDDR, PCIE, MIPI, USB, and FPD Link
  • Proficiency in simulation tools such as:
    • ANSYS
    • ADS
    • CST
    • Spice
  • Experience with design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for testability (DFT) principles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex signal and power integrity issues, including:
    • Eye Diagram analysis
    • Jitter analysis
    • Power noise analysis
    • Signal crosstalk analysis
    • Ringing and lossy attenuation analysis
    • Overshoot/undershoot analysis
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate and complete design documentation
