Senior Software Development Engineer - Test Automation (m/f/d)

In response to the growing trend of digitalization in the dental industry, we are expanding our software development presence in Malaysia. This strategic expansion aims to enhance our portfolio of software solutions for the dental market.

Your Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain and improve automated tests for API, UI and integration flows
• Enhance existing automation frameworks to improve stability, scalability and maintainability
• Troubleshoot flaky tests, test failures and CI/CD pipeline issues
• Contribute to test strategy and planning for complex features across SaaS, IoT and AI teams
• Maintain a healthy regression suite by identifying redundant or low‑value tests
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to clarify requirements, acceptance criteria and testability
• Provide mentorship to junior and mid‑level SDETs on test design, automation patterns and debugging
• Participate in code reviews and give constructive feedback
• Document test approaches, automation structures and best practices
• Ensure quality gates in CI/CD pipelines are meaningful and reliable
• Support performance, reliability and integration testing initiatives when necessary

Requirements:

• Strong hands‑on experience with API and UI automation (Playwright, Selenium, REST clients)
• Experience maintaining or improving automation frameworks
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
• Strong analytical and debugging skills
• Clear communication skills — able to explain decisions simply and effectively
• Ability to mentor junior and mid‑level engineers constructively
