A leading company in the food industry is looking for a Sales Operations Support professional in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. The role involves managing data, supporting the commercial team, and handling contract administration. Candidates should have at least 5 years in customer service within the food FMCG or B2B sectors. Proficiency in Salesforce and SAP is required, alongside excellent analytical skills and teamwork abilities. This position demands a proactive approach and a can-do attitude, adapting to various challenges in a fast-paced environment.
Responsible for supporting the commercial team in Southeast Asia by managing data, analytics, and contract administration across Salesforce, SAP and Power BI.
Set up new customers and key information in Salesforce and other systems, including credit control.
Maintain the integrity of customer information and reporting across all systems.
Act as a Salesforce Super User, maintaining knowledge of SAP and Salesforce and coaching sales and other account‑facing colleagues to ensure user proficiency.
Provide sales‑related data, monitoring reports and analytics on a regular and ad‑hoc basis to support the Head of FM and/or commercial team.
Maximise use of SAP and Power BI platforms to track and analyse sales metrics. Work with FP&A and other teams to create and share reports for improved sales management.
Coordinate customer requests for samples, certificates, specification sheets and product queries through to completion.
Monitor contract balances on existing contracts and submit to the Sales Manager for analysis.
Flag contracts due for expiry during the current or following month.
Liaise with the Pricing team to share price‑list updates when requested by the sales team.
Coordinate quotation preparation and sharing with customers.
Co‑ordinate with Pricing and Sales regarding changes requested by customers for products and samples.
Support the Sales team in obtaining price quotations and maintain accurate contracts in the system for a seamless customer experience.
Monitor the status of sales administration activities to identify problem areas and adapt procedures to improve team performance.
