A confectionery production company in Shah Alam is looking for a Research and Development Executive to enhance product quality and production processes. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in the confectionery industry, with strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate in Mandarin or Cantonese. This position involves product testing, documentation, and collaboration with quality assurance teams. Interested candidates should submit their resume including salary expectations.
Participate in the review and improvement of the current product and production process to increase productivity and consistency of quality.
Participate in addressing root causes of defects in current products.
Implement new technologies that could enhance product quality.
Test and refine new products, ensuring they meet performance, quality, process, and regulatory standards.
Lead trial runs and product testing to ensure functionality, safety, and adherence to quality standards.
Analyze test data and results, providing recommendations for product adjustments or improvements.
Responsible for shelf-life testing and sensory evaluation.
Provide detailed information of control parameters to related departments (QAQC and production).
Testing of new or alternative raw materials.
Manage raw material requirements and specifications, maintaining accurate records.
Provide detailed information on control parameters for the relevant departments (QAQC and procurement).
Maintain accurate records of research findings, experiments, and product development and improvement processes.
Prepare detailed reports including findings, progress, and results.
Prefer Mandarin and Cantonese speaking to effectively communicate with Mandarin/Cantonese-speaking clients and excellent command of spoken and written in English.
At least 5 years of practical experience in confectionery and icing-based industries with solid R&D experience.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects and tasks.
Proven expertise in food technology and recipe development.
In-depth knowledge of food production, processing, and packaging, particularly in confectionery and icing sugar derivative product.
Engage in process and product enhancement within manufacturing and participate in trial run testing.
