Job summary

A construction and engineering company is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor in Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. The ideal candidate will have a diploma or higher in Civil Engineering or related fields and at least 3-5 years of experience in construction supervision, specifically in Residential Housing and Infrastructure. Responsibilities include ensuring on-time project delivery, maintaining comprehensive documentation, and coordinating with project managers and engineers to address any challenges during construction. Candidates must be able to work independently and effectively in high-pressure environments.

Senior Quantity Surveyor (Landed Property)
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time according to scope and within budget.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Daily supervision of work progress at the site in accordance with the schedule and implement day‑to‑day activities.
  • Ensure work quality is achieved and safety regulations complied with.
  • Attend all project site meetings as well as technical meetings with clients.
  • Arrange regular meetings/discussions with relevant parties (e.g., workers, contractors, clients, vendors) to ensure the progress of work meets the targeted timeline.
  • Collaborate with relevant parties to ensure all works are executed as agreed.
  • Assist the superior in planning and arrangement of the projects.
  • Report to the superior especially any discrepancies or potential delays in work.
  • Prepare site diary, fortnight report and progress report.
  • Brief sub‑contractors on construction drawings, project schedule and timeline provided by management, construction method, product installation and safety requirements and precaution prior to the project execution and commencement.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders for seamless project execution.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve on‑site challenges.
  • Ensure civil & structural works are completed on time, within budget and conform to good quality standards, construction drawings and contract documents.
