Job summary

A leading engineering contractor in Malaysia is seeking a qualified Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Petaling Jaya. The role includes procurement, cost administration, and tender processes for various water engineering projects. Candidates must have 3-5 years of relevant experience and possess a degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering. Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is essential, and knowledge of Mandarin is a plus. This position offers a competitive salary range of RM 4,000-6,000.

Responsibilities

• Assist with procurement, cost and contract administration.
• Coordinate full range of quantity surveying activities, including estimation.
• Handle pre- and post-contract administration and tender processes.
• Prepare taking-off quantities, claims, and monitor project site valuation and progress of works.
• Evaluate tender documents and prepare reports for presentation.

Our client is a multi-disciplinary water engineering contractor involved in the installation of water treatment plants, pumping stations, civil water supply projects, and the construction of reservoirs and pump houses. They are renowned for delivering high‑quality projects in the sector. Due to an increase in secured projects, they are looking for a qualified and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their professional team based in Petaling Jaya.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist with procurement, cost and contract administration.

Candidate Profile

• Malaysian, male or female.
• Hold a tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying or Civil & Structural Engineering (not Mechanical Engineering).
• At least 3‑5 years of experience in a similar role within the water engineering or water utility sector.
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia; advantageous if conversant in Chinese/Mandarin.
