Job summary

A leading construction firm in Malaysia is looking for a Senior QAQC Engineer / Executive specializing in Mechanical and Electrical works. The role involves overseeing MEP installation and commissioning activities, ensuring compliance with specifications, and coordinating with multiple stakeholders. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in MEP inspection and a relevant degree. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining high standards in large-scale construction projects.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in MEP inspection, preferably on large-scale construction projects.
  • Ability to coordinate with contractors and consultants to resolve site issues.
  • Experience in preparing inspection reports and maintaining logs for inspections.

Senior QAQC Engineer / Executive (Mechanical & Electrical)

Monitor day-to-day MEP installation and commissioning activities on site.

Inspect materials delivered to ensure they meet specifications and standards.

Ensure MEP works are executed as per the approved shop drawings, method statements, and specifications.

Quality Assurance

Verify that the MEP installations comply with local and/or international codes.

Ensure proper testing and commissioning of MEP systems.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inspections and observations.

Coordination

Liaise with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders to resolve site issues promptly.

Coordinate with civil and architectural teams to ensure MEP services are properly integrated into the building works.

Documentation & Reporting

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inspection reports.

Maintain logs for inspections, non-conformances, and corrective actions.

Assist in the preparation of snagging lists and monitor rectification of defects.

Health & Safety

Ensure MEP activities are carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations.

Report unsafe practices and assist in implementing corrective measures.

Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

5+ years of experience in MEP inspection, preferably on large-scale construction projects.

Knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations.
