A leading procurement firm in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Purchasing Executive to manage suppliers and negotiate terms to ensure compliance with regulations. The role requires a degree in business or supply chain, at least 5 years of purchasing experience, and proficiency in Mandarin to liaise with suppliers in China/Taiwan. Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills, along with good knowledge of ERP systems like SAP, are essential. This position is vital for maintaining efficient procurement processes.

Senior Purchasing Executive

Designation: Senior Purchasing Executive

Department: Purchasing

Reporting Manager: Purchasing Manager

Location: Balakong, Selangor

Responsibility
  • Source, negotiate, and manage suppliers to secure the best pricing, terms, and timely delivery of materials.
  • Ensure purchased items comply with Malaysian standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and submit applications to SIRIM (product certification, testing reports, labeling requirements) and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) for device certifications.
  • Ensure timely renewal and tracking of all relevant certificates and licenses.
  • Maintain proper filing and documentation for all regulatory submissions and approvals.
  • Liaise with testing labs, consultants, and government officials where required.
  • Support internal and external audits related to product compliance and import controls.
  • Create Purchase Orders and maintain the Material Master.
  • Manage shipment arrangements from issuance of Purchase Orders to arrival at warehouse/site.

Role Requirements
