Our client Legrand Group Brands (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Senior Purchasing Executive to join their team!

Are you a seasoned professional in purchasing with a knack for negotiation and a keen eye for detail? This could be the perfect role for you! Our client, a fast-growing fintech startup, is looking for a Senior Purchasing Executive to manage their procurement processes and ensure compliance with Malaysian standards.

What you\'ll be doing?

• Secure the best deals: Source, negotiate, and manage suppliers to get the best pricing and timely delivery of materials.
• Ensure compliance: Make sure all purchased items meet Malaysian standards and regulatory requirements.
• Handle certifications: Prepare and submit applications to SIRIM, ST, and MCMC for product certifications and approvals.
• Maintain documentation: Keep all regulatory submissions and approvals well-organized and up-to-date.
• Communicate effectively: Liaise with testing labs, consultants, and government officials as needed.
• Support audits: Assist in internal and external audits related to product compliance and import controls.
• Manage orders: Create Purchase Orders, manage shipments, and oversee material master data.

Who are they looking for?

• Educational Background: At least Degree in Business Administration / Supply Chain or any related field to provide strong foundational knowledge.
• Purchasing Experience: At least 4 years of experience in purchasing operations with proficiency in SAP & SIRIM knowledge for effective procurement management.
• Language Skills: Fluent in Mandarin, English and Malay for effective communication with diverse suppliers, especially China/Taiwan based suppliers, and regulatory authorities.
• Core Competencies: Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills for effective supplier management.
• Technical Proficiency: Good knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for reporting and analysis.
