Job description
Senior Project Manager – Finance & HC (FDM)

The candidate is required to lead, manage and drive initiatives relating to the Financial Data Warehouse and related Data Marts, and extend BAU support for on-going or new implementation.

Manage the BAU support for Data Warehouse across all regional entities

Ensure alignment of project deliverables with overall IT Strategy

Drives project workshop sessions and discussions to translate all business requirements into actionable technology deliverables for project and BAU.

Enforce compliance of project deliveries to comply with applicable policies, governance, standards, control and regulatory expectations/requirements

Build partnership and collaboration between BU, Technology and vendors to achieve synergy during implementation

Drive continuous improvement and employee satisfaction of Finance applications post Project Go-Live

Drive issue and defects managements and resolution across IT, users and vendors

Manage multiple deliverables concurrently to different business group while fostering strong users and customer relationship

Manage relationship with vendor, users, and internal IT teams to manage issues and enhancements

Work with key stakeholders to proactively shape the organisation’s culture and conduct environment that is aligned to the organization’s Core Values

Lead and manage a team of Data Mappers, Business Analyst and Data Engineers to meet business requirements, functions, performance, and governance

Champion culture and conduct behavioural expectations within the Department/Division.

Takes accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.

Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies to understand the risk and better safeguard the company.

Highlights any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practices.

We are looking for people who

Tertiary education required

A team player who never takes “no” for an answer

Minimum 10 years of project management or delivery experience from finance industry, with at least one key project in data warehouse for Finance

5 years Data Warehousing experience or working experience on Big Data platform, data integration, transformation, management and governance

Related Big Data certifications such as Data Engineer, Data Analyst, Data Modeler, Data Architect, Data Administrator and Data Security Analyst will be an advantage

Working knowledge of Hortonworks data platform for data ingestions frameworks from multiple source systems e.g. AS400, Oracle Finance, MS SQL, etc.

Experience using Java, PL/SQL, SQL, Python, Scala with good knowledge of data models and data flows with strong understanding of dimensional and relational databases, including stored procedures, constraints, normalization, indexes, and security

Passionate on driving changes and proven ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy, and with a can-do attitude

A fast thinker who remains agile, adaptive and savy when under stress

Certification or formal training in project management is an advantage

Self-starter and fast learner with excellent leadership and team building skills

Have domain knowledge of financial and insurance reporting will be an advantage

General knowledge of business processes, data flows, risk management and compliance

Possess strong planning, communication, negotiation and presentation skills

Demonstrates alignment with the organisation’s core values through expected behaviours.
