Job description

Responsibilities

1. Identify and align project goals and scope with PJM and PM, and break down tasks of tooling/process developments and qualification.
2. Make/align tooling development and qualification timeline and assign tasks to the Ops team, including tooling development and materials purchase.
3. Track and manage the core team to execute project progress based on the committed project schedule and project cost.
4. Lead Ops to simulate sample cost and production cost to achieve the project landing zone target and optimize launch cost.
5. Budget and control scrap cost by leveraging design and manufacturing processes to meet the project target during the NPI phase.
6. Guide capacity planning, materials sourcing, and manpower to support all builds in the plant.
7. Oversee the progression of tooling/process development, identify bottlenecks and issues, and organize the Ops team to improve them.
8. Oversee risk assessment in project execution, stay interlocked with PJM to make mitigation plans and conduct planned activities in Ops.
9. Finalize the Safe Launch plan for the appropriate mix of product, tool capability, and demand with approval from the PJM, Quality, MDPE, and PjE, and lead the Safe Launch team meetings to assure successful HVM startup and manufacturing process qualification.
10. Align the budget with the Ops team using the tooling list from MPDE-A and control total capital spending against CER.
11. Lead and coordinate line set‑up to conduct LVM sample builds and coordinate HVM tool builds.
12. Lead Ops to create a ramp‑up plan that includes materials, operations, and tool capacity ramp‑up, ensuring the manufacturing team takes over production control smoothly after G5.
13. Oversee product migration, acting as a receiving or sending leader to execute product move‑in or move‑out, including project timeline, investment, cost control, machine/material/manpower preparation, safety stock, and safe launch.
14. Lead product capacity analysis and expand it through reinvestment per estimation.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree; engineering background is preferred.
2. PMP certification preferred.
3. At least five years of relevant project‑management experience; 1–2 years in connector/cable/cable‑assembly is a plus.
4. Fluent oral and written/reading English.
5. Chinese speaking is a must for all.
6. End‑to‑end project‑management experience is a MUST, with strong people‑development, communication, and coordination skills.
7. PMP certified or equivalent, or strong skillsets in project‑management (schedule, risk, requirement).
