A steel manufacturing company in Klang City is looking for a Production Engineer to oversee rolling mill operations and manage maintenance. The ideal candidate must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering and minimum 2 years experience in the steel manufacturing industry. Oversee production operations for rolling mill roll stands; manage corrective and preventive maintenance if any issues occur.

Monitor production methods, equipment performance, and product quality, and execute improvements.

Manage related spare parts.

Manage a team of technicians and general workers.

Enforce safety rules, code of conduct, and good housekeeping practices, and perform other duties as assigned.

To perform any tasks or assignments given by a superior from time to time.

Job Requirements

The Candidate needs to work closely with an expatriate from China. As such, it is required for the candidate to be able to converse, read, and write in Mandarin.

The candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree or Professional Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, Metallurgical Engineering, or equivalent.

Minimum 2 years relevant working experience, preferably in the steel manufacturing industry and heavy industry.

Language proficiency: English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin to liaise with clients and stakeholders.
