This role focuses primarily on payroll operations, utilizing HR systems such as SAP to ensure stable and efficient management of HR operations within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle the full spectrum of payroll processing activities, including computation of wages, bonuses, allowances, overtime, claims, payroll deductions, advance payments, and other related items, ensuring all processes are carried out systematically and meticulously.
- Review, analyze, and verify payroll reports and supporting documents for accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare statutory forms such as HR forms, EA Forms, and related documentation, ensuring accuracy prior to distribution.
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing on a weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly basis, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of payroll exercises including monthly payroll, promotions, annual increments, bonuses, and allowances for all employees.
- Verify weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly payroll payouts via the M2e payment portal.
- Prepare and provide payroll and HR data for internal and external parties, including government bodies and auditors.
- Ensure payroll and HR services are delivered in accordance with established processes, work procedures, company policies, audit controls, statutory requirements, and legislative regulations.
- Manage internal and external statutory compliance, including monthly and annual submissions, and ensure timely system updates in response to changes in government regulations, public rulings, system settings, testing, and execution.
- Lead and liaise with HR, Information Services, external vendors, and other stakeholders on HRIS enhancements and system implementations.
- Partner with internal stakeholders including Human Resources, Finance, Tax, IT, Accounting, Legal teams, and SAP consultants to ensure effective and compliant payroll and HR processes.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g. Accounting, Finance, Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or Management).
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in payroll operations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Power BI.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to chair meetings.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with SAP SuccessFactors HCM, including EC Payroll and Employment Central modules.
- Experience handling payroll in a Malaysian manufacturing environment.
