Job description

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor Distributed Control System (DCS) to ensure smooth and continuous plant or facility operations in compliance with approved procedures, safety standards, and production plans.
• Respond to system alarms and process deviations promptly, take corrective actions as per operational procedures, and elevate critical issues to supervisors or engineers when necessary.
• Maintain close communication with field operators to execute startup, shutdown, and routine operational activities safely and effectively.
• Record and report operational data accurately through shift logs, control room documentation, and digital systems as required by site management and audit standards.
• Participate in emergency response scenarios and simulations, performing panel‑level controls to mitigate plant risk during abnormal or emergency situations.
• Adhere strictly to HSE policies, safe work practices, and plant integrity procedures while operating within the control room environment.
• Actively participate in daily shift handover discussions with the operation team to ensure smooth continuation of operations and proper communication of plant status.

Requirements

• Diploma in Engineering (Process, Chemical, Mechanical or Instrumentation)

• Strong understanding of process flows and interlocks
