Job summary

A reputable footwear brand in Petaling Jaya seeks a Merchandiser to develop actionable strategies for seasonal assortments and monitor product performance across channels. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 2 years of merchandising experience, preferably in the footwear or fashion industry, and is proficient in Microsoft Office and Mandarin. Job description

Monitor sell-through rates and other performance related metrics.

Develop actionable strategies towards seasonal assortment requirements based on market insights.

Work with suppliers to ensure quality and accuracy of product development.

Review competition to gather market intelligence, including price points, marketing and promotions.

Research industry and consumer trends to anticipate demand and changes in buying patterns.

Plan and monitor merchandising flow, replenishment, stock allocation, internal store transfers and consolidation to physical and online stores / marketplaces.

Collaborate with other departments to ensure optimisation of product display, description and sales pitches.

Collaborate with the visual merchandising and marketing team to create impactful stories across communication channels.

Develop seasonal sales & promotions, and identify markdown margins to ensure healthy inventory capacity.

Requirements
  • SPM or certificate in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain, or any related discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of merchandising experience (experience within the footwear / fashion industry is preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin‑speaking clients.
  • Willing to work in Bandar Sunway, Subang Jaya.
