A Senior Manager for Telecom Rollout in Selangor, Malaysia, would likely be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful completion of telecommunications infrastructure projects, including network expansions, upgrades, and new technology deployments.

They would manage a team of project managers, engineers, and other professionals, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Planning: Developing and implementing rollout strategies, aligning them with business objectives and market demands.
• Project Management: Managing multiple projects simultaneously, from initial planning and resource allocation to execution and closure.
• Team Leadership: Leading and mentoring a team of project managers, engineers, and other specialists, fostering a collaborative and high‑performing environment.
• Stakeholder Management: Engaging with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, contractors, and regulatory bodies, to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Budget Management: Overseeing project budgets, tracking expenditures, and ensuring cost‑effective resource utilization.
• Risk Management: Identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.
• Quality Assurance: Ensuring that all rollout activities adhere to established quality standards and best practices.
• Performance Monitoring: Tracking project progress, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing corrective actions.
• Staying up to date with the latest telecommunications technologies and trends and applying this knowledge to project planning and execution.

• Fiber Optic Network Rollout: Expanding fiber optic infrastructure to new areas, connecting homes and businesses.
• LTE 4G /5G, PTP and PTMP Network Deployment: Experience in RF Planning and Implementing and optimizing 5G networks to meet growing data demands.
• Indoor Building Systems (IBS) Rollout: Installing and integrating IBS solutions in buildings to enhance wireless coverage.
• Tower Construction and Upgrades: Managing the construction and maintenance of telecommunications towers.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree is an advantage.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial or senior supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of telecommunications systems, including IP telephony, fiber optics, cellular systems, and data transmission networks.
• Experience with telecom infrastructure planning in large‑scale developments (e.g., airports, smart cities, industrial zones) is preferred.
• Solid understanding of regulatory requirements, licensing, and spectrum management.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, contracts, and vendor negotiations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
