A leading technology distributor in Malaysia is looking for a Sales Manager to take ownership of the entire life cycle of the assigned business unit group. The successful candidate will interface with Channel Partners and Suppliers to maximize revenue and enhance customer satisfaction. Job description

The Sales Manager will take ownership and be responsible for the entire life cycle of the assigned BU group. The role will need to interface with Channel Partners and Suppliers on an on‑going basis for maximizing revenue, margins and customer satisfaction. The incumbent also has to develop excellent relations with the Company's Customers to uncover business opportunities and enhance value‑addition for the assigned BU group.

Principal Responsibilities
  • Creates business plans for the assigned BU group and associated services.
  • Establish priority and direction for the assigned line card within the product group nationally, aligning the company’s Go‑to‑Market plan with customers and suppliers.
  • Assess market conditions and discern opportunities for the company’s products and services.
  • Align with customers and relevant entities in the solution ecosystem to increase sales effectiveness.
  • Develop various sales programs for presentation to senior leadership management.
  • Drive revenue and margin growth for new and existing business customers.
  • Develop growth of the TD SYNNEX Customer community.
Execution
  • Implementation of strategic sales initiatives as agreed with senior leadership.
  • Execute plan and achieve the assigned BU targets, working with the regional/local sales team.
  • Develop and maintain operational‑level relationships with customers and suppliers.
  • Provide leadership for day‑to‑day sales processes, proposals, forecasting, CRM, pipeline management, and customer engagements.
  • Ensure continuous improvement of customer satisfaction.
  • Inventory planning in alignment with suppliers and BU team.
  • Achieve significant cross‑selling and up‑selling of products and services through teamwork.
  • Build relevant ecosystem with solutions and services teams to scale business.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve quarter‑on‑quarter and year‑on‑year growth.
  • Build high loyalty and long‑term business relationships with the assigned customers.
Team Management
  • Provide clarity of organizational goals and job roles of each team member.
  • Provide on‑the‑job training and understand the sales cycle to the team and facilitate issue resolution.
  • Provide leadership with motivation and guidance.
  • Identify training needs of the team and continuously develop and improve their skills.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Business acumen.
  • Must have ability to build and sustain relationships, drive and achieve business objectives.
  • Good understanding of selling BU offerings and value proposition.
  • Candidate must have good understanding of domestic IT market and potential of services.

Experience
  • University degree or equivalent.
