A property management subsidiary is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee construction projects in Penang. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and significant management experience in property development. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, managing risks, and maintaining quality assurance across projects. Compliance & Contractual Management. Ensure all site works comply with project requirements, contractual obligations, regulatory standards and company policies
Risk Management. Identify potential project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies to minimize impact on cost, timeline and quality
Quality Assurance. Oversee project implementation to ensure full compliance with quality standards and specifications in accordance with the quality requirement
Review and rectify quality defects reported by PMCS and ensure timely closure of issues
Safety Management. Ensure all project activities adhere to safety policies, procedures and statutory requirements
Lead technical and project teams to achieve project milestones and deliverables
Maintain effective communication with clients, consultants and contractors to ensure alignment and clients satisfaction
Consolidate project data for monthly reporting and highlight major issues to management for timely decision-making
Plan, organize and manage staffing requirements, material resources and scheduling to ensure smooth project execution
Monitor project costs, control expenditures and ensure the project delivery within budget
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Building Architecture, Construction Management or a related field
• Minimum 8 years of working experience in building construction or property development with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role
• Proven experience in managing contractors and consultants on the project implementation
• Proficient in construction management software such as AutoCAD, MS Project and other relevant tools
• Strong problem-solving skills and a high level of self-motivation
• Independent, conscientious, proactive, and technically competent with strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate, monitor and control project progress effectively
