A property development company in Penang is seeking a Senior Manager/Manager for Business Development. The role involves identifying growth opportunities, conducting market research, and managing land acquisition and development activities. Candidates should have at least 5 years in the property sector and strong analytical skills in investment financial modeling. You will play a critical strategic role in identifying and creating growth opportunities and expansion in the property industry. Reporting to the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and developing strategic partnerships.
What you’ll be doing
Land Acquisition, site sourcing and evaluation of investment opportunities in Malaysia, primarily Penang
Undertake market research, feasibility studies and investment financial modeling, site survey & study, cost analysis, market analysis and make recommendation for acquisition or joint venture
Perform all due diligence on legal documentation process for all land deal/ transactions including sale and purchase and joint venture
Conduct regular micro and macro market scanning to identify potential growth areas and opportunity arises in Penang state including Northern region
Assist in divestment of assets (if any), including recommendation, documentation, sourcing for purchasers
Assist in Marketing & Sales of property to develop hands on experience in Marketing & Sales
Preparing management papers, special task, study or presentation decks especially on property matter and other related assignments
Take on ac-hoc responsibility as assigned
What we’re looking for
Degree in Business, Marketing Management, Town Planning (Urban Planning), Quantity survey or related qualification
At least 5 years working experience in property related field with minimum 3 years’s experience in land development, land planning and/or land acquisition capacity in managerial roles
Hands on experience in market sales, supply & demand and anticipate sales revenue; proficiency in Penang property market, product pricing of different locations and trend; familiar with development guideline
Having good networking with real-estate agencies, property valuers and other related consultancy, Good foresight of future market needs and potential growth areas; Able to conduct market survey on sale ability of various market segment, feasibility studies, investment financial modeling including IRR, risk management, cost analysis, good interpersonal skills and negotiation skills
