Senior Manager Learning and Talent Development

Responsibilities
  • Leading and implementing the learning and development strategy locally, ensuring the workforce has the skills required both now and in the future.
  • Localising global HR and L&D initiatives effectively to the local demographic.
  • Collaboration with internal departments to identify and address learning gaps across individuals and as groups.
  • Curate and implement training programmes addressing learning areas such as competency building, team effectiveness and workforce readiness.
  • Ensuring compliance and quality through regular audits.
  • Manage the organisation's Human Resource Development Fund, ensuring adherence to training requirements and the timely submission of reimbursement claims. Lead improvements to bursary-related processes to enhance efficiency and impact.
  • Select, engage, and maintain relationships with external training partners and consultants, ensuring high-quality service delivery. Build strong partnerships with universities and educational institutions.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the L&D team, ensuring high standards of delivery and alignment with the organisation's learning strategy.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with strong experience as a Capability Development or L&D professional with talent management and development experience.
  • Experienced in leading strategic talent management and development projects, including identifying development needs, creating holistic talent strategies, and curating programmes that support employee's skills growth and career progression.
  • The ability to interpret the organisation's strategic priorities and ensure the workforce is prepared to meet evolving business demands and remain competitive.
  • Experience managing talent development initiatives that contribute to succession planning efforts.
  • A track record of partnering autonomously with key stakeholders.
  • Well-developed knowledge of modern L&D methodologies, including familiarity with e-learning platforms and digital learning solutions.
