Job description

The Senior Manager, IT (PMO) is responsible for leading the IT Project Management Office (PMO) and ensuring successful delivery of technology initiatives aligned with business objectives. This role oversees project governance, resource planning, and execution of IT programs, while driving standardization and best practices across project management processes.

Job Description

To provide effective leadership and direction to project team members, ensuring alignment with project goals and introducing best practices in project management and methodology.

Oversee end-to-end project delivery, ensuring success within established time, quality, and cost parameters, while adhering to robust project management methodologies.

To manage the preparation of RFQ/RFP and special projects, securing necessary approvals according to the Corporate’s Limit of Authority, showcasing a blend of technical and functional acumen.

Align expectations with the Head of Department, the team, and the organization regarding key objectives, deliverables, priorities, and performance standards to ensure clarity and accountability.

To demonstrate proficiency in managing projects throughout their lifecycle, ensuring milestones are met within defined parameters. Handle conflict resolution among stakeholders, vendors, and 3rd parties.

Proactively manage deviations, risks, and inter-dependencies. Escalate potential issues with well-defined mitigation plans and recommendations.

To develop and maintain ISD Framework, Policy, and Procedure.

To engage and coordinate with Internal Auditor and External Audit for audit exercise (PWC, Deloitte).

To provide advisory on Technology Risks.

To perform Digital Technology Department Risk Assessment.

To represent department in the meeting whenever necessary.

To perform task assigned by supervisor from time to time.

Maintain effective communication between project teams, steering committees, and stakeholders.

Ensure successful delivery of projects within agreed scope, timeline, cost, and quality parameters.

Provide regular project updates, participate in Project Governance meetings, and ensure compliance with documentation requirements.

Facilitate vendor evaluation, selection, and contract negotiations.

Serve as the main technical contact point for node vendors, fostering positive working relationships and ensuring compliance with organizational regulations.

Manage project resources efficiently, ensuring high team performance through guidance, motivation, and skill development.

Optimize investment, solution, and resource allocation.

Accountabilities focus on ensuring technology risks are identified and mitigated by the respective risk owner.

Exists to support advisory service to Board, Management, Business Unit and Subsidiary on technology risks related matters.

Accountabilities focus on supporting the management to meet the technology risk.

Exists as an advocate of a technology risk aware culture.

Budgeting and cost control on the resource.

Job Requirement

A bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related field.

At least 5 years of relevant experience in Information Security / IT Risk in Corporate Sector.

Professional certifications in ICT infrastructure and security, such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CCNP, or equivalent.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Strong business acumen and interpersonal skills to interface with senior leadership.

Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skill.

Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning such as SAP or IFCA.

Consistently delivers projects within agreed scope, timeline, and budget while upholding governance standards and technology risk controls.

Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.

In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and cybersecurity.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Strong understanding of IT governance frameworks (COBIT, ITIL, ISO standards).

Project Management Professional (PMP) / Agile Certified is highly desired.
