Job summary

A leading professional services firm in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Learning and Professional Development specialist. You will design and implement strategies to enhance employees' technical skills and facilitate training sessions on various subjects. The ideal candidate has a degree in Accounting, at least 8 years of relevant experience, and proven abilities in organizing training programs. Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is also essential.

Qualifications

  • At least 8 years of experience in a related field.
  • Experience in financial statements review or ISQM audits is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in designing and delivering technical training programmes.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement learning strategies to develop employees’ technical skills.
  • Prepare training materials and facilitate training sessions.
  • Facilitate trainings for BDO ASEAN colleagues.
  • Execute standard and ad-hoc reports for management’s review.

Overview – The Learning and Professional Development (LAPD) team is responsible for empowering employees’ growth and developing their knowledge, skills and capabilities to drive better business performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement learning strategies to develop employees’ technical skills and knowledge.
  • Prepare training materials and facilitate training sessions on accounting, auditing, ethics and ISQM subject matters.
  • Facilitate trainings for BDO ASEAN colleagues.
  • Execute standard and ad‑hoc reports for management’s review.

Education and Professional Skills / Experience & Education

  • A recognised degree in Accounting and/or a related professional qualification.
  • At least eight (8) years of experience in a related field.
  • Experience in performing financial statements review, hot review of audit files, or ISQM audits is highly desirable.

Other Skills

  • Proven experience in designing and delivering technical training programmes.
  • Outstanding organisational and project management skills.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and Zoom.
