Job description

As a Senior Engineer, Maintenance (Plating), your primary responsibility is to ensure the optimal operation and reliability of plating equipment through preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance. You will develop and execute maintenance schedules, troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and PLC issues, calibrate equipment to specifications, and support installation and commissioning of new plating lines. Your role also involves managing spare parts inventory and maintaining detailed documentation to minimize unplanned downtime and maximize production efficiency.

Our Team:

You will be part of a dedicated maintenance and technical support team focused on plating operations. This team collaborates closely with production and engineering divisions to maintain high equipment availability and operational excellence in plating processes.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance schedules for plating equipment, including rectifiers, pumps, tanks, and filtration systems, to prevent unexpected breakdowns.
  • Utilize predictive maintenance tools to continuously monitor equipment conditions, proactively addressing issues to reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Quickly diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and PLC problems in plating lines to minimize production stoppages and restore operations.
  • Ensure regular calibration and testing of plating equipment such as voltage/current controls and temperature systems, maintaining compliance with specifications.
  • Oversee the installation and commissioning of new plating lines or auxiliary equipment, ensuring proper startup and integration.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of maintenance activities, breakdown incidents, and spare parts usage to support operational transparency and continuous improvement.
  • Manage critical spare parts inventory for plating machines, ensuring availability while optimizing stock levels.
  • Review and update the FMEA, procedures and SOPs.
Basic Qualifications
  • More than 5 years of experience working with plating operations and equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and provide technical coaching and guidance to team members.
  • Solid knowledge of pumps, PLC programming, and mechanical design related to plating processes.
  • Advanced skills in PLC programming and troubleshooting to efficiently resolve control system issues.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Additional certifications or formal training in PLC programming or industrial maintenance.
  • Experience with hydraulic systems and electrical troubleshooting in plating or similar industrial environments.
  • Strong leadership skills and prior experience leading maintenance teams or projects.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and spare parts procurement processes.
