The Machining Process Senior Engineer plays a vital role in streamlining operations, ensuring quality, and driving innovation in our company. It requires a combination of technical expertise and leadership skills for ensuring efficient operations, quality control, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Direct Oversight of Daily Work Order Management: Oversee the verification of machining capability for all received job orders, integrating efficient process design planning into the process. Ensure the correctness and clarity of process drawings, providing guidance as needed. Lead the planning team in developing efficient process designs and selection of tooling for all received jobs, ensuring alignment with production capabilities and customer requirements.
- Supporting Production Sites: Direct and provide guidance and oversight for the program setting for CNC machines setting on specific machines, ensuring adherence to standards & achieving efficiency. Conduct weekly process discussions and regular meetings for job orders requiring special attention and process design illustration. Offer on-site technical advice and support to resolve complex processing problems and machine setting.
- Proactive Support to Sales and Purchasing: Provide proactive guidance on process planning and time estimation for inquiries received from sales. Accompany sales personnel on customer visits to provide expert consultation on manufacturing capabilities, with approval from GM. Accompany purchasers on supplier visits for capability audits, with approval from GM.
- Hands‑On In‑House Training Leadership: Develop comprehensive training handbooks for both new and existing employees, ensuring clarity and effectiveness. Lead, plan, and conduct the yearly training content such as mechanical and technical training sessions periodically to staff members from Sales, Purchasing, and Section & Line Leaders.
- Strategic Research, Development, and Tooling Management: Lead the planning of quarterly R&D projects, including budgeting, control form implementation, and result assessment. Drive R&D efforts focused on process design, material processing methods, consumables goods & tooling selection, CNC software to optimize machining operations, ensuring cost effectiveness and performance alignment with organizational goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
- Extensive experience in precision machining and engineering.
- Strong knowledge of CNC machines and programming.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and database management.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities.
- Minimum of 5 years of managerial experience in a machining environment.
