A global logistics firm in Malaysia is seeking an experienced legal professional to manage and mitigate legal risks across the Group. The ideal candidate will have a background in law with 7-10 years of experience, particularly in intellectual property and employment law. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance, providing legal guidance, and negotiating contracts with clients and vendors. The successful candidate will play a key role in the identification and management of legal risk issues across the Group. The role will involve acting as an internal consultant and as such, will involve extensive dealings directly with the business. The successful candidate will report to the General Counsel.
Licensed to practice law.
Graduate with excellent academic credentials is required.
Minimum 7-10 years’ experience practicing law.
Experience in intellectual property laws, employment laws, international business transactions and general litigation preferred.
Ability to write and converse in Mandarin preferred.
Successful candidate is a proven team player and consensus builder that takes a business approach to law and be a proactive problem solver who must be able to work autonomously and handle significant client contact. Candidatemust be an excellent writer, organized, detail oriented, able to prioritize projects and meet deadlines. Personal characteristics:
