SAP is seeking a Senior LegalCounsel to work within its field legal organization in the Asia Pacific (“APAC”) region. Based in Malaysia, you will be a part of the APAC legal team and will provide legal expertise for SAP and its business teams, particularly SAP’s sales teams, across the region.
The successful candidate will provide legal advice and support to the licence, cloud and field services sales organizations for SAP’s market and business units in APAC. This will include independently leading in drafting and acting as primary negotiator for cloud services, software licensing and support services contracts, data processing agreements, distributorship and partnership agreements with SAP’s customers in the private and government sectors and partners as well as responding to RFPs and tender documents. The successful candidate will work closely with other legal colleagues in the APAC region as part of an integrated team and collaborate with sales and services executives, SAP’s sales management, product, pricing, revenue recognition and bid management teams and other stakeholders in a time-pressured environment to help achieve SAP’s business objectives in accordance with SAP policies and applicable laws.
The successful candidate will also provide legal advice and counselling on a wide variety of matters, including management of claims, disputes and litigation matters, intellectual property, licensing, data privacy, license compliance matters and employment issues. Experience in the Cloud (software-as-a-service) sector is strongly preferred.
