In response to the growing trend of digitalization in the dental industry, we are expanding our software development presence in Malaysia. This strategic expansion aims to enhance our portfolio of software solutions for the dental market.
Tasks
- Design, build, and maintain scalable and secure data infrastructure and data pipelines.
- Develop and manage data lake and data warehouse capable of handling various data types.
- Ensure data quality, governance, lineage, and schema evolution using automated tooling and best practices.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) and implement automation frameworks to streamline CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and alerting systems.
- Implement HIPAA/GDPR‑compliant data handling, including encryption, access control, audit logging, and retention policies.
- Collaborate with Software Engineers and AI/ML Engineers to design, implement, and optimize ETL/ELT processes.
- Support Product Owners and Data Analysts by providing the right tooling, best practices, and knowledge.
- Drive architectural direction across data engineering and influence platform roadmaps, design decisions, and engineering best practices.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers; perform code reviews, technical guidance and promote continuous improvement and innovation.
Profile
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or software engineering with hands‑on experience building production data systems.
- Strong skills in Python, JavaScript or any other OOP programming language.
- Expertise with cloud data engineering tools, services and platforms (AWS preferred).
- Solid understanding of distributed systems, data modeling, ETL/ELT design patterns, and large‑scale batch/stream processing.
- Practical experience with CI/CD, IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation), and containerized environments (Docker, ECS/EKS).
- Experience working in regulated industries (medical device, pharma, healthcare) is advantageous.
- Familiarity with AGILE development methods such as SCRUM and Kanban.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially when working with cross‑functional teams.
- Quick to learn new concepts and technologies, with a focus on solving customer and business problems.
