Responsibilities

• Identifying and researching news stories
• Compiling and writing daily news pieces
• Assisting in the production of newsletters
• Conducting and producing audio podcast episodes
• Conducting interviews with key industry practitioners
• Authoring lengthier reports and features
• Assisting on Finance news as seen fit (It’s a team effort)

Requirements

• Must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Journalism, Humanities/Liberal Arts, Mass Communications or equivalent
• Excellent command of written and spoken English; proficiency in Arabic, French and/or Farsi is a plus
• Financial journalism or a finance background is highly advantageous
• A pleasant personality and strong communication skills are a must
• Has a passion for the news
• Able to identify newsworthy stories
• Inquisitive and eager to learn
• The ability to multi-task and interact with people from all levels and backgrounds
• Meticulous, organized and efficient
• Able to meet deadlines without any exemption
• Experience in or knowledge of the financial sector will be an asset
• Malaysian citizen or hold relevant resident status
