The Senior HR Manager will lead and manage the full spectrum of Human Resources functions across a diverse portfolio of businesses. This role is both strategic and hands‑on, partnering closely with management to drive people initiatives, ensure compliance with employment laws, and support organizational growth and performance.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related qualifications.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws, HR policies, and statutory compliance.
- Proven experience in strategic HR planning and people management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, payroll system, banking system and data/reporting automation.
- Strong analytical and planning skills, with excellent problem solving and sound financial judgement.
- Independent, self‑motivated, adaptable, resourceful, creative, and detail‑oriented.
- Willing to travel for outstation assignments as required.
- Comfortable working across a diverse portfolio of businesses.
- Ability to speak English, Bahasa Melayu, and Mandarin.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide advice and support to management on HR‑related matters.
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HR strategies, policies, and procedures, including employee handbooks, training frameworks, and performance management systems.
- Oversee employee relations matters, including grievance handling, disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and ensuring fair and consistent HR practices across the Group.
- Ensure full compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations by monitoring legislative changes, updating internal policies, and advising management on statutory requirements.
- Lead talent acquisition initiatives for senior and critical roles, including job descriptions, interviewing, selection, and hiring decisions.
- Oversee compensation and benefits administration, including monthly payroll processes and employee benefits programs, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness and compliance.
- Drive learning, training, and leadership development initiatives, including identifying organisational training needs and implementing effective development programs.
- Deliver HR analytics reports for Management, analyse data on employee turnover, and identify trends and areas for improvement in the HR function.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance HR efficiency and employee experience.
