A Mechanical & Electrical Service Provider is seeking a Senior High Voltage Electrical Engineer in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. This role involves overseeing high voltage electrical systems, preparing technical documentation, and mentoring junior engineers. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 5-7 years of relevant experience. The position requires traveling to various project locations and offers a structured work schedule from Monday to Saturday.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-7 years of working experience as Chargeman.
• Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management.
• Strong planning knowledge and analytical skills are required.

Company Background

We are representing our client a Mechanical & Electrical Service Provider (Industrial Construction Industry) to look for Senior High Voltage Electrical Engineer

Job Responsibilities

• Led and oversaw electrical systems of 275kV/132kV/33kV/11kV, following relevant standards and regulations
• Performing electrical system calculations and simulations, including cable and load sizing, overcurrent protection design, earth fault protection design, etc
• Assigning to handle Data Centre, Interconnection facilities (IF) for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and Large Scale Solar (LSS) Farm
• Preparing technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports
• Supervising and coordinating with clients, consultants, authorities, and sub-contractors during project execution
• Participating in project meetings and presentations
• Conducting on and off-site inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with safety standards
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to electrical systems
• Oversee Installation, testing and commissioning of the whole electrical system to ensure design accuracy
• Mentoring and providing technical guidance to junior engineers

Job Requirements

• Bachelors degree in ElectricalEngineering
• Certified Charge man (B0 33KV) issued by Malaysia Energy Commission
• Minimum 5-7 years ofworking experience as Chargeman
• Ability to interact and deal effectively with all levels of management and staff
• Must possess good planning knowledge analytical skills
• Able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and resolve conflict

Job details

• Working hours: Mon-Fri (9.00am-6.00pm) & Sat (9.00am - 1.00pm)
• The position requires travel to various project locations
