About Our Client

Responsibilities
  • Manage the full Record-to-Report cycle, including general ledger management, journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with local GAAP/IFRS and group reporting requirements.
  • Maintain and update the chart of accounts, fixed asset register, and intercompany transactions.
  • Prepare, review, and submit indirect tax returns (e.g., GST/SST/VAT) and ensure compliance with all statutory requirements.
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation, assess their impact, and implement necessary process adjustments.
  • Liaise with tax authorities and external consultants for queries, audits, or clarifications related to indirect taxes.
  • Prepare and coordinate annual and interim audit schedules, ensuring completeness and accuracy of supporting documentation.
  • Provide all necessary explanations and reconciliations to external and internal auditors within agreed timelines.
  • Assist in drafting statutory financial statements and group reporting packages.
  • Strengthen internal controls related to financial reporting, taxation, and audit compliance.
  • Identify and implement process improvements or automation opportunities to enhance the RTR and tax compliance cycle.
  • Support finance transformation initiatives or ERP system enhancements when required.
The Successful Applicant

A successful accountant should have:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of general ledger processes and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience in the FMCG industry is an advantage but not mandatory.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • The ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment.
