Role Description
Respond.io is expanding rapidly, aiming for a $1 billion valuation following our successful Series A funding. We’re hiring a Senior Finance Specialist to own critical finance functions across reporting, forecasting, controls, and process optimization.
This is a senior individual contributor role—equivalent in scope and compensation to a Finance Manager. You’ll be the finance team’s go‑to problem solver: generalist in scope, strategic in thinking, and trusted by leadership for both detail and direction.
If you’ve done time in FP&A, audit, reporting, or SaaS finance, and want to step into a high‑ownership role with broad responsibility and impact, this is your chance.
Responsibilities
- Lead high‑impact financial initiatives, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to drive alignment, execution, and measurable business outcomes.
- Analyze complex financial data and business issues, offering clear, actionable insights to support strategic and operational decisions.
- Own and continuously improve core finance processes (e.g., month‑end close, budgeting, forecasting, controls), ensuring consistency, scalability, and compliance.
- Act as a strategic problem solver for diverse finance challenges across the organization—from financial modeling to cost optimization and risk mitigation.
- Produce accurate and timely financial reports, dashboards, and narratives that inform leadership decisions and performance reviews.
- Champion process automation and data integrity, identifying opportunities to reduce manual errors and improve reporting efficiency.
- Support internal and external compliance requirements, helping ensure audit readiness, policy adherence, and regulatory alignment.
- Mentor junior team members (where applicable), providing guidance on analysis, tools, and professional development in a collaborative, high‑performance culture.
Qualifications
- At least 4–5 years of experience in finance or accounting, ideally in a Big Four firm or a high‑growth SaaS company. Experience in FP&A, business partnering, or strategic finance is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, ICAEW) are highly desirable.
- Extensive knowledge of financial principles, regulatory requirements, and advanced financial analysis techniques.
- Proven track record of leading complex financial projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to ensure the accuracy of financial reports and data.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to develop and implement robust financial solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex financial information clearly to stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high‑performing finance team.
Benefits
- You will be part of a culture that is built on trust, respect, and collaboration, where everyone is valued and feels like they belong.
- You will join a diverse team of people from all over the world who are passionate about serving our global customers.
- You will grow more here than you would anywhere else, that is a promise.
- Pizza parties, birthday cakes, social events (Laser tag, go‑cart, paintball), you'll always be looking forward to it!
- Beer O'Clock on Fridays? Naah, we have it every day!
- Are you a PlayStation fan? It gets fun when you get to beat your colleague on a FIFA game at the office!
- You’ll get to experience a very competitive compensation.
- You’ll be covered exclusively on one of the highest medical and dental insurance especially for you.
- Unlimited snacks in our specially dedicated snack room. Oreos, KitKats, Gummy Bears, Chips, Biscuits, Nuts, Snickers ... you name it, we have it.
- Flexible working environment.
