Responsibilities
  • The Senior Finance Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, establishing, maintaining, and overseeing the Company’s books of accounts, as well as leading financial planning and analysis (FP&A), budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and supporting strategic decision-making.
  • Manage the Account Payable and Company staff claims, Miscellaneous Accounts receivable and billings functions, treasury functions, fixed asset ledger and credit card reimbursement monitoring.
  • Develops short- and long-term plans for the Accounting Department, in line with the key business objectives and long-term plans of the Company.
  • Plans and prepares the Accounting Department annual operational and capital budgets for Management approval, in line with the set goals and objectives.
  • Manage, control and monitor the daily operations of the department in an efficient and effective manner for capital expenditure and operating expenses, ensuring alignment with budgets and objectives, and identify improvement opportunities when relevant.
  • Responsible for the development of policies and Standard Operating Procedures for the department.
  • Ensure that new business proposals / projects are implemented in a professional manner.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance service delivery.
  • Ensure that all deadlines for sections within the Accounting Department are met.
  • Maintain equipment and facilities within the department and keep a maintenance/service log for each equipment.
  • Update the General Ledger and ensure the integrity, validity, accuracy and completeness of data input and interfacing to the system and the reports generated from the system.
  • Manage the Accounts Payables and ensure that payments are accurate and on time, processed and approved following internal controls; review system reports for corrective actions.
  • Perform monthly closing of accounting ledgers.
  • Generate monthly reports from General Ledger and Accounts Payables systems to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Check the accuracy of invoices for payments and ensure outstanding balances are accurate and reflected in accounts and statements.
  • Manage quarterly and annual stock takes at Integra and rehab centres to ensure adherence to procedures and guidelines.
  • Liaise with bank officers, vendors, tax authorities, statistics department and other government agencies.
  • Ensure all requirements from internal and external auditors are met.
  • Monitor the company’s cash position to ensure optimal use of funds and alert management if loan facilities are needed.
  • Maintain the fixed assets ledger and establish internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure standards are followed.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Accounting or other professional accounting qualification.
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in finance, including hands-on experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
  • Good interpersonal, supervisory and management skills.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Conversant with accounting systems.
